Last Day in Galway: Bike Tour of the Aran Islands

I'm so sorry that I haven't posted anything lately. I've just been so overwhelmed with work these past few days that I haven't had any time at all. I'm currently running on four hours sleep but the good news is the end is in sight! All I have left is a play review, a test, and the exam and then I'm done! Because of all the homework and projects and presentations that have been due this week I only had one chance to see the city and it was on the first night here. I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't get to go back down town because what I saw was really cool and I would have liked to explore a little bit more. Oh well, nothing I can do now. We leave for Dublin tomorrow at 9:30 am sharp. We have the weekend to explore Dublin though so that's good. Anyway today we went to the Aran Islands which were very cool. A bunch of us rented bikes when we got there and went up to a castle ruin on the top of a huge hill. Seriously it was so big I almost passed out before making it to the top. It hurts to sit now too because the seats were so small and uncomfortable. After the biking we went and got lunch and then explored the shops a little bit. I didn't buy anything but I regret it. There was a cool woolen sweater shop there that had some really neat stuff. I had fun anyway though. It was a great day and the weather was perfect. Here are some pictures from my bike tour:

Hope you enjoyed. Sorry they're all out of order. Bye!

  1. Hi Bridget
The landscape and the colour of the water remind me of Cape Breton. I sure hope your last week is not so full of homework and that you'll have more time to enjoy the sights. Hopefully you are "sitting pretty" by now. We can't wait to see you next week!
