Rain, Rain Go Away

It's pouring rain here and it's supposed to keep raining all week. The field trip tomorrow to Killarney is postponed until Sunday because of the weather which means I'm going to spend my whole day doing homework. :-( Blahhh. I finally got around to uploading those videos for Henry so here they are. I took them in a park near the University, my favourite place to walk around.

Day 8

I'm starting to get a big overwhelmed with school work. Everything is piling up and I'm falling behind. Tomorrow we have an essay and a poem due as well as a poetry test and on Monday I've got an oral presentation, another essay due, and we have to read seven chapters of The Picture of Dorian Gray and answer 5 question for each one. Plus we'r going to be away in Killarney all day Saturday so I'll have to do most of it Sunday. Anyway I'll stop complaining now and tell you what I did today. It was the first day that it actually really rained. And it was cold. I got soaked walking to classes and dinner and home and to the Cork Gaol. That's what we did today; went on a tour of the old jail. It was cool. The guy told us about different prisoners and at the end we watched a movie about it. I fell asleep in the movie but the end was good. There were prisoners named Mary and Henry :-) After jail we went to dinner. I had carrots and a bun and a really good desse rt thingy. Then I walked home in the rain (it's a 25 minute walk) and just as I was waiting to cross the street across from my apartment 3 cars in a row went by really fast and splashed me all over my face and everything. It was a great day. See pictures below.

Happy Birthday Mammy! (That's what they say instead of mommy in Ireland)

Today is mums birthday and all that she asked for from me was a picture of me kissing the Blarney Stone (which I did yesterday) so here it is. There are also some pictures of Blarney Castle because it was very cool. There were lots of little chambers and spiral staircases and things like that.

Snoop Dogg?!

So last night we went to see Snoop Dogg. It was actually really fun considering I didn't know any of his songs. I liked his braids.

But before we could see him we had to listen to this guy for two hours.

Happy Independence Day!

Hi everybody! So I said yesterday that we were going on a tour of west cork and the lakes of Kilarney today but when we woke up the weather wasn't too great so we went to the Mitchelstown Caves instead. They were amazingly cool however we weren't allowed to take pictures for some reason so I can't show you. We did go to some towns that were also pretty cool after the caves though. I have no idea what they were called but I saw two castles, a beautiful old church ruin, and a liquor store named W.H. Irwin! See pictures below:

Okay that's it for today. Bye!
